Position Overview

Seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of a growing staffing business. This role requires exceptional accuracy, efficiency, and experience working in a fast-paced payroll and invoicing environment. The ideal candidate is meticulous, proactive, and comfortable handling confidential financial data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for temporary and contract employees
  • Prepare, review, and issue client invoices accurately and on schedule
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Maintain and reconcile QuickBooks Desktop records, including:
    • Bank and credit card reconciliations
    • General ledger entries
    • Payroll and tax-related entries
  • Track hours, pay rates, bill rates, markups, and adjustments specific to staffing engagements
  • Resolve payroll or invoicing discrepancies promptly and professionally
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, documentation standards, and confidentiality requirements
  • Assist with month-end close, reporting, and audit preparation as needed
  • Collaborate closely with management to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial processes

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop (required)
  • Prior experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in staffing, payroll services, or professional services
  • Strong understanding of payroll processing and invoicing workflows
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines
  • High level of integrity and discretion with confidential information

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with temporary staffing payroll and client billing structures
  • Familiarity with timekeeping systems and payroll reporting
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Work Schedule

  • Part-time: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays
  • Consistent availability required on scheduled days
