Position Overview
Seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of a growing staffing business. This role requires exceptional accuracy, efficiency, and experience working in a fast-paced payroll and invoicing environment. The ideal candidate is meticulous, proactive, and comfortable handling confidential financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for temporary and contract employees
- Prepare, review, and issue client invoices accurately and on schedule
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Maintain and reconcile QuickBooks Desktop records, including:
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- General ledger entries
- Payroll and tax-related entries
- Track hours, pay rates, bill rates, markups, and adjustments specific to staffing engagements
- Resolve payroll or invoicing discrepancies promptly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, documentation standards, and confidentiality requirements
- Assist with month-end close, reporting, and audit preparation as needed
- Collaborate closely with management to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial processes
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop (required)
- Prior experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in staffing, payroll services, or professional services
- Strong understanding of payroll processing and invoicing workflows
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines
- High level of integrity and discretion with confidential information
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with temporary staffing payroll and client billing structures
- Familiarity with timekeeping systems and payroll reporting
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Work Schedule
- Part-time: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays
- Consistent availability required on scheduled days
