Office of Transportation Technology Services (OTTS) needs a Senior .Net/PowerApps Developer with high level hands-on experience in software development using Access, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, Oracle, SQL, N-Tiered Application Development, WCF, LINQ, Entity Framework, Web Services/ APls. Experience with Angular, jQuery, Typescript, Telerik, Bootstrap is preferred.

The .NET/PowerApps Senior Developer is expected to work with MOOT TSO OTTS Enterprise Software Services / Distributed Services Team and business staff to perform the following responsibilities:

  1. Support and enhancement development of Maryland Construction Management System (eMCMS), Office of Real Estate Development(ORED) applications, Viking reports, and any other software development engagements as assigned by supervisor.
  2. Improve the design and produce requested enhancement for eMCMS. Learn and improve mobile application development as needed.
  3. Support existing ASP.NET, MS Access, VBScript applications and scripts.
  4. Design, develop, and implement new C#, .NET applications for MDOT either on prem or Cloud platforms including Azure.
  5. Develop Power Apps applications
  6. Adhere to the best practices for writing the programming code including comprehensive commenting and timely code refactoring. Document solution designs based on functional and technical requirements.
  7. Document Standard Operating Procedures. Work with internal and external customers and project managers to provide technical expertise as needed.
  8. Familiarity with Agile development process & SCRUM

  1. At least ten (10) years of software development experience
  2. MS Access and ASP development experience a must.
  3. Expert hands-on software development experience using C#, ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, T-SQL, Web Services/ APIs
  4. Prior experience with Angular, jQuery, Typescript, Telerik, Bootstrap.
  5. Prior experience in SharePoint and Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power Platform
  6. Experience with Microsoft DevOps or GitHub code management environment.
  7. Familiarity with VB.NET, classic ASP, VBScript, VBA, MS Access applications, and PL/SQL.
  8. Prior MDOT Experience preferred
