Shifts: Monday-Friday, 5pm – 1:30am.
Overview Entry level position involving the operation of data input. Perform general clerical assignments. Operate a computer to retrieve data and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel The primary responsibility of the data pack entry clerk is to capture data from data packs in an effort to aide transit insurance adjusters in claims decision making. In addition, data pack entry clerks are responsible for telephone inquiries, emails and other requests for assistance concerning data pack issues.
Daily Job Duties
The analyst accomplishes his/her task through a succession of procedures. These procedures are made up of the following steps:
- Receiving Data Pack
- Date stamp and sign all accompanying custody forms.
- Make copies for Claim files, Bus Divisions, Utilization Review, various Police Departments and Data Pack Team, etc.
- Documentation of chain of custody, e-mails, forms, records, etc.
- Entering pertinent information from custody forms into databases.
- Checking for additional losses to be addressed in databases.
